Why do people watch my stream? How do I keep them coming back? The answer is simple...

People come to a stream for a bunch of different reasons. Maybe they're wanting to see a game they've been interested in playing. Maybe they're trying to learn a new skill. Maybe it was recommended to them. Whatever that reason is, they've showed up. But, what now? How do you get them to come back?

I was wondering the same thing myself. I've gone to streams where I've lost interest in seconds, and I've been to streams that were so entertaining I visit all the time. The ones that I keep going back to are ones that give me something I can't get anywhere else. A rehearsed speech that happens whenever there's a raid; some quirky thing that they do to interact with viewers; a theme that's interesting and relatable. Something uniquely you.

The idea for Snacks and Streams, LLC came from my belief that life is always better with family, friends, and food. What better way to do that than creating a sci-fi restaurant theme for my stream? Being a VTuber gives me the opportunity to show off my creativity by creating that environment and dropping my avatar directly in the center of it all. Streamers without avatars come up with their own ways to set their stages. But, the truth is: People come to watch YOU!

I'm still trying to pin down exactly what I want to focus on. My stream setup still isn't perfect. I'm still throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. The point is that I'm doing it and I'm having fun. Every successful streamer puts in the effort to create content and present it. It's not easy sometimes. Sometimes you aren't sure how something is going to land. You just have to try, try, and try again! I've gathered a ton of tips and tricks along the way, too.

Set a consistent schedule and stick to it! Be yourself! Put yourself out there and let yourself be the real, authentic, unapologetic you. Play the games you enjoy! Decide what you want people to take away from your stream, and have fun sharing it! Your audience will know when you're loving what you do, so have fun with it. If you truly want to be there, they will too!
